Born from a heart to serve
It began with a burden the Bosquets could not set down. On their first visits to the bateyes — the worker settlements clustered around the sugarcane mills — they met families living within sight of the fields yet hours from the nearest doctor, pharmacy, or clinic. They came home unable to forget those faces, and soon went back: this time with medicine, a few willing hands, and a folding table set up inside a village schoolroom.
That first clinic became a second, and then a rhythm. Neighboring communities sent word asking for a visit; nurses, dentists, and translators gave up their weekends; local churches opened their doors as gathering places. Piece by piece, a single act of compassion grew into an ongoing ministry — one that measures its work not in numbers, but in the dignity restored to each family that is finally seen, treated, and prayed for.
To demonstrate the love of Christ by serving people with compassion, proclaiming the Gospel, strengthening communities, and providing humanitarian assistance that transforms lives.
A world where no family is overlooked — where healing, dignity, and hope reach the most vulnerable, and where volunteers from every corner of the world answer the call to serve.
Our core values
Moved by the needs of the most vulnerable, we lead with empathy in every encounter.
Every person deserves care that honors their worth — never pity, always respect.
A God-given vision to bring hope to forgotten communities, lived through service to others.
One consultation, one treatment, one act of kindness — restoring hope where it is needed most.
Serving the whole person — body and spirit
ISA is a Christian humanitarian organization committed to serving vulnerable communities through the love of Jesus Christ. We develop and coordinate a range of outreach programs:
Every project is carried out with excellence, integrity, compassion, and a commitment to glorifying God while serving those in need.
The bateyes of the Dominican Republic
Bateyes are the rural settlements built around the sugarcane mills. Home to generations of Haitian workers and their families, many remain isolated from clinics, pharmacies, and basic services. Our missions bring care directly to these communities — inside schoolhouses, churches, and wherever families can gather.
Bringing hope where there is despair, healing where there is suffering, and the love of Christ where it is needed most.
Together in Faith. Together in Service. Together for Lasting Impact.
